About

Erinn (née-Claire) Kunkes graduated from Columbia College (Chicago) with an Art History, BA in 2010. Post graduation Erinn has tried her hand in multiple mediums ranging from: large-scale clay and wire mobiles, to wax paintings on cloth and finally landing on what has become her signature aesthetic: acrylic and ink on canvas.

Erinn draws her inspiration from the great abstract expressionist painters of the late 40s, 50s and 60s. Her work is often likened to artist such as: Willem de Kooning, Franz Kline, Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler and Cy Twombly; among others.

Erinn draws great pride in creating pieces that people can place in their home. If you are interested in a piece or would like to use an existing piece as inspiration for a commissioned work please send a message to her  @ Studio305Art@gmail.com!
